Hearings on the dangers of electromagnetic fields and the need for independent assessments

Strasbourg, 18.02.2011 – The Committee on the Environment, Agriculture and Local and Regional Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will hold hearings on the dangers of electromagnetic fields as well as on the need for independent and credible assessments, on 25 February in Paris.

 

These hearings will be held as part of the preparations for reports on these two subjects by Jean Huss (Luxembourg, SOC) and Cezar Florin Preda (Romania, EPP/CD). Experts and scientists taking part include the President of the Necker Institute in Paris, Philippe Even.

These hearings, which will take place from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on Friday 25 February at the Council of Europe Office (55 avenue Kléber, Paris 16ème, métro Boissière), are open to the press.
