Request for urgent debate on Israeli-Palestinian peace process: the role of the Council of Europe

The proposal by the PACE rapporteur on a two-State solution in Israel and Palestine, Titus Corlatean (Romania, SOC), to define the role that Europe, and more particularly the Council of Europe, could play in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process was largely echoed by the Political Affairs Committee at its meeting in Paris on 14 December, including by members from the Israeli and Palestinian delegations.

The Committee therefore requested to hold an urgent debate during the PACE winter session in Strasbourg (22-26 January 2018).
