Final conference of the Parliamentary Campaign to end detention of migrant children

The Parliamentary Campaign to End Immigration Detention of Children will host its final conference in the Council of Europe, on 26 June 2019.

This event will sum up the work done by the PACE Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons and the Council of Europe Children’s Rights Division in the framework of the Campaign since its launch by PACE in April 2015. It will also be an opportunity to hold an exchange of views on the related topic of ending violence against migrant children.

Opening addresses will be made by Doris Fiala (Switzerland, ALDE), Chairperson of the PACE Committee on Migration, Pierre-Alain Fridez (Switzerland, SOC), General Rapporteur on the Parliamentary Campaign, Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Anna Maria Corazza Bildt, Member of the European Parliament, Coordinator on Children’s Rights and Stella Kyriakides (Cyprus, EPP/CD), Member of the PACE Committee on Migration and Chairperson of the PACE Sub-Committee on Children.
