PACE delegation makes pre-electoral visit to Ukraine

A five-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will make a pre-electoral visit to Ukraine on 2-3 July 2019 to assess the election campaign and political climate prior to the early parliamentary elections on 21 July.

In Kyiv, the delegation is due to meet the President of the Republic, the Minister of Interior, the Ukrainian delegation to PACE and the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission. Meetings are also scheduled with leaders and representatives of political parties running in the elections, as well as representatives of NGOs, the media, international organisations and the diplomatic community.

The delegation will issue a statement at the end of the visit.

A full delegation will travel to Ukraine to observe the elections on 21 July.
