PACE co-rapporteurs to make fact-finding visit to Montenegro

Ionut-Marian Stroe (Romania, EPP/CD) and Anne Mulder (Netherlands, ALDE), co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for post-monitoring dialogue with Montenegro, will make a fact-finding visit to the country from 10 to 13 September 2019.

The aim of this visit is to discuss the implementation of the Assembly's latest resolution on the honouring of obligations and commitments by Montenegro. In this context, the co-rapporteurs will assess in particular progress regarding the independence of the judiciary, trust in the electoral process, the fight against corruption and the situation of the media.

Meetings are planned in Podgorica with representatives of the international community, civil society, Parliament, the judiciary and the Montenegrin government.
