PACE President to participate in IPU Assembly in Belgrade and hold high-level meetings

Liliane Maury Pasquier, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will participate in a parity debate on 16 October as part of the 141st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Belgrade. This debate will focus on the President’s initiative “#NotInMyParliament: national and regional strategies”.

On 16 and 17 October, she will also hold a number of bilateral meetings with Serbian government and parliamentary leaders, including the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Serbian delegation to PACE.

Finally, President Maury Pasquier will meet representatives of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR), co-winners of the 2019 PACE Václav Havel Human Rights Prize.
