Illumination of the Palais to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

“Thanks to the support of Assembly members and many ambassadors, we have been able to make progress in raising awareness of the fight against sexism, harassment and violence against women,” PACE President Liliane Maury Pasquier said today at the illumination of the Palais de l’Europe in orange to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

She also announced a 16-day Campaign of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (25 November–10 December). “This campaign reminds us all of our responsibility and duty to contribute, through concrete actions to end violence against women,” President Maury Pasquier said. “Every woman must have the right to live free from violence,” she concluded.
