1. Decisions of the Bureau of 29 September 2014 requiring ratification by the Assembly

1.1. Election observations

1.1.1. Bulgaria: early parliamentary elections (5 October 2014)

The Bureau approved the final composition of the ad hoc committee (Appendix 1).

1.1.2. Ukraine: early parliamentary elections (26 October 2014)

The Bureau approved the composition of the ad hoc committee and appointed Mr Christopher Chope (United Kingdom, EDG) as Chairperson of the ad hoc committee (Appendix 2).

1.1.3. Tunisia: parliamentary elections (26 October 2014) and presidential election (23 November 2014)

The Bureau approved the composition of the ad hoc committees and appointed respectively Mr Andreas Gross (Switzerland, SOC) and Mr Jean-Marie Bockel (France, EPP/CD) as Chairpersons of these committees (Appendices 3 and 4).

2. Other decisions of the Bureau

2.1. Fourth part-session of 2014 (29 September – 3 October)

2.1.1. Request for a current affairs debate

Further to its decision of 2 September, the Bureau decided to propose to the Assembly to hold a current affairs debate on The crisis in Ukraine on Wednesday 1st October, in the afternoon, and designate Mr Stefan Schennach (Austria, SOC) as the introductory speaker.

2.1.2. Request for a debate urgent procedure

The Bureau decided to recommend to the Assembly to hold a debate under urgent procedure on Threats posed by the “Islamic State” (IS) and violence against humanity on Thursday 2 October, morning, and referred the matter to the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy, for report.

2.1.3. Draft agenda

The Bureau updated the draft agenda.

2.2. Election observations

2.2.1. Turkey: presidential election (10 August 2014)

The Bureau approved the final report of the ad hoc committee.

2.2.2. Bulgaria: early parliamentary elections (5 October 2014)

The Bureau took note of the press release of the pre-electoral delegation

2.2.3. Bosnia and Herzegovina: general elections (12 October 2014)

The Bureau took note of the press release of the ad hoc committee.
