The Committee on Rules of Procedure and Immunities, meeting in Strasbourg on 26 and 28 June 2000 with Mr Kresak, 3rd Vice-Chairperson, then Mr Kroupa, Chairperson, in the Chair:

-        elected Mr Kroupa Chairperson and Mr Pokol, 2nd Vice-Chairperson of the Committee on Rules of Procedure and Immunities;

-        took a stand on the amendments tabled on the draft resolution in Document 8750, “the reform of the Assembly’s working methods and its committee structure” (Rapporteur: Mr Vis, United Kingdom, SOC);

-        held an exchange of views on the findings of the working group on the modification of the official reports of debates of the Assembly and asked its President to inform the Bureau of the Committee’s position;

-        held an exchange of views on a draft preliminary report on “international humanitarian law as a condition for granting observer or special guest status” (Rapporteur: Mr Vis, United Kingdom, SOC);

-        agreed to hold its next meeting during the 4rd part-session of the Assembly (25-29 September 2000).
