Motion for a resolution

This motion has not been discussed in the Assembly and commits only the members who have signed it

The Assembly,

      Referring to the possibility of tabling written declarations provided for in Rule 53 of its Rules of Procedure, notes that the content of such declarations is left entirely to the discretion of the signatories;

      Having observed that certain recent written declarations have consisted of propaganda for commercial purposes, and moreover for controversial products and persons who are equally controversial;

      Decides to amend Rule 53 of its Rules of Procedure as follows:

      “53.2 new: They may not contain propaganda for commercial purposes or on behalf of persons or associations.”Si
