Liechtenstein's membership of the Council of Europe
Motion for a recommendation

This Assembly notes with the gravest concern the outcome of the recent referendum in Liechtenstein, which modified the Constitution of Liechtenstein in a way that the Venice Commission concluded puts the status of Liechtenstein into question and which is wholly incompatible with the conditions of membership of the Council of Europe. The Assembly calls on the Committee of Ministers to advise Liechtenstein that if the outcome of the referendum is implemented, steps will be taken to review Liechtenstein's membership of the Council of Europe.
