Examination of credentials of Representatives, Substitutes and Special Guests

Supplementary report

presented by the President of the Assembly

1.       Following the examination of credentials of new representatives, substitutes and special guests appointed at the 4th part of the 2003 session of the Assembly, credentials certified by the competent authorities of six member states have been transmitted to the President of the Assembly for validation by the Standing Committee acting on behalf of the Assembly.

2.       Andorra has appointed one new representative to replace Mr Alis Font, who has resigned, and two new substitutes to replace Mr Mas Torres, who has resigned, and Mrs Pintat Rossell. former substitute, who has been appointed representative.

3.       Belgium has appointed Mr Van den Brande, former substitute, as representative and Mr Timmermans, former representative, as substitute.

4.       Finland has appointed a new substitute to replace Mr Kaikkonen, who has resigned.

5.       France has appointed a new substitute to replace Mr Flageolet, who has resigned.

6.       Greece has appointed a new substitute to replace Mrs Damanaki, who has resigned.

7.       Spain has appointed two new substitutes to replace Mr Agramunt and Mr Barquero Vazquez, former substitutes, who have been appointed representatives to replace Mrs Alvarez Arenas and Mrs Rosa Posada, who have resigned.

8.       The Standing Committee, acting on behalf of the Assembly, is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the members whose names are given below.

9.       In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the appropriate committee which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance with Rules 7 and 8 of the Rules of Procedure.
