Examination of credentials of representatives, substitutes and special guests

President of the Assembly

1.                       In accordance with Rule 6, paragraphs 1, 2 and 4, of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received the credentials of new representatives and substitutes for the 3^rd part of the 2004 Ordinary Session of the Assembly, which have been transmitted in due form by the competent authorities of nine member states.

2.                       Austria has appointed a new substitute to replace Mr Grissemann, who has resigned.

3.                       Azerbaijan has appointed a new substitute to replace Mr Abbasov, who has resigned.

4.                       Bulgaria has appointed a new representative to replace Mr Pentchev, who has resigned, and a new substitute to replace Mr Pavlov, who has been appointed representative.

5.                       Georgia has appointed a new delegation following general elections.

6.                       Germany has appointed a new substitute to replace Mrs Lotz, who has resigned.

7.                       Italy has appointed a new substitute to replace Mr Contestabile, who has resigned.

8.                       Romania has appointed a new substitute to replace Mr Baciu, who has resigned.

9.                       Russia has appointed a new representative to replace Mr Lomakin-Rumiantsev, who has resigned.

10.                    Spain has appointed a new delegation following general elections.

11.                    The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the members whose names are given below.

12.                    In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the appropriate committee which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance with Rules 7 and 8 of the Rules of Procedure.

13.                    In accordance with Rule 59.6 of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received the credentials for two new members of the special guest delegation of Monaco.

14.                    The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the special guests whose names are given below.

15.                    In the case of objection or contestation on the grounds of Rule 59.1 of the Rules of Procedure, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to a joint meeting of the Political Affairs Committee and the Committee on Rules of Procedure and Immunities. These committees shall report to the Bureau as soon as possible, in accordance with Rule 59.6 of the Rules of Procedure.
