Examination of credentials of Representatives and Substitutes

Supplementary report

presented by the President of the Assembly

1. Following the examination of credentials of new representatives and substitutes appointed at the 1^st part of the 2005 session of the Assembly, credentials certified by the competent authorities of three member states have been transmitted to the President of the Assembly for validation by the Standing Committee acting on behalf of the Assembly.

2. Denmark has appointed three new representatives to replace MM. Dalgaard, Mikkelsen and Søndergaard who have resigned. Five new substitutes have been appointed to replace Mrs Arnold, Mrs Garsdal, MM. Langballe, Poulsen and Støjberg.

3. Latvia has appointed one new representative to replace Mrs Druviete, who has resigned.

4. Romania has appointed five new representatives to replace MM. Buzatu, Coifan, Olteanu, Popa and Prisăcaru who have resigned. Seven new substitutes have been appointed to replace MM. Canacheu, Chiliman, Fulga, Mocioi, Mrs Moldovan, MM. Popescu and Voinea who have resigned.

5. The Standing Committee, acting on behalf of the Assembly, is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the members whose names are given below.

6. In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the appropriate committee which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance with Rules 7 and 8 of the Rules of Procedure.
