1. Position of Head of Legal Department in the Latvian Human Rights Office.
2. Lecturing different human rights courses for the Latvian Judicial Training Centre and Institute of Human Rights, University of Latvia.

4. Study of practice of ECHR, particularly in area of freedom of expression, the right to fair hearing and matters of administrative law (tax, building, licensing).
5. Creation and delivering a course “Administrative Court Procedure” for the Faculty of Law, University of Latvia. The course is based on principle developed by the ECHR through interpretation of Article 6 of the Convention.

a. Trainer and expert for the Council of Europe on the European Convention on Human Rights provided to judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and staff of ombudsman offices in the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine.
b. Teacher in the Raoul Wallenberg Institute professional training programmes on the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights provided to judges, prosecutors, police commanders, prison administrators, officials of government ministries and national human rights institutions and other target audiences from more than over 60 countries in all the regions of the world.
c. Guest lectures on the ‘European Convention on Human Rights and the European Union’ delivered to the students at the Danish Center for Human Rights and Faculty of International Relations, L’viv University, Ukraine.

Further to the curricula vitae presented in document CM(2004)194, the Latvian Delegation has provided the Secretariat with certificates signed by the three candidates indicating that, if elected, they would take up residence in Strasbourg.
1 On 12 January 2005, pending the Assembly’s decision on a possible modification of Resolution 1366 (2004) on candidates for the European Court of Human Rights, the Bureau temporarily suspended the examination of lists of candidates for the Court having all the same sex, if that is the sex which is under-represented on the Court. On 18 March 2005, the Standing Committee adopted Resolution 1426 (2005) amending Resolution 1366 (2004) and allowing single-sex lists under specified circumstances.
