Situation in Cyprus

Recommendation 1642 (2004)

Reply from the Committee of Ministers

adopted at the 923^rd meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies (6 April 2005)

1.       The Committee of Ministers pays tribute to the active interest which the Parliamentary Assembly has steadily shown since 1974 in the situation in Cyprus and for the many recommendations it has adopted with a view to contributing to finding a settlement of the Cyprus issue and takes note of Recommendation 1642 (2004) on the situation in Cyprus.

2.       The Committee of Ministers stands ready to continue contributing, within its mandate and wherever possible, to the efforts for finding a settlement to the Cyprus problem.
