UK postal voting system

Motion for a resolution

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, concerned by the recent court judgment in Birmingham, UK, condemning malpractices in the UK postal voting system, calls for an investigation by the Venice Commission into postal voting legislation and practices in the UK and their compatibility with the democratic standards of the electoral process in a member state of the Council of Europe.
