Condemnation of the Iranian plan to convene a conference to revise the history of the Holocaust

This written declaration commits only the members who have signed it

Following the repeated declarations by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and by other senior Iranian officials about the need to re-examine the history of the genocide of the Jews during the Second World War, the Association of Islamic Journalists of Iran has been instructed speedily to convene an international conference to which negationist historians will be invited.

We express our great indignation with regard to the words of the Iranian President and officials seeking to cast doubt on the reality of the Holocaust, and we condemn with the utmost firmness the Iranian plan to hold a conference for revisionist and negationist purposes.
