In the draft resolution, at the end of paragraph 6.6, add the following words:
"to immediately stop the installation of barbed wire fences and artificial obstacles along the occupation lines in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions and to abide by the norms and principles of international law. In this respect, the Assembly reiterates its strong support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders;"
Explanatory note
The consistent and firm stance of the international community is essential to force the Russian Federation to fulfill its international obligations, to respect sovereignty and territorial integrity of its neighbouring countries and to facilitate peaceful conflict resolution.
