on the examination of credentials of

Representatives, Substitutes and Special Guests

presented by the President of the Assembly 1

1.       In accordance with Rule 6, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received the credentials of new Representatives and Substitutes for the 3rd part of the 44th Ordinary Session of the Assembly, which have been transmitted in due form by the competent authorities of two member states.

2.       Denmark has appointed a new Representative to replace Mr Erik Smith who has resigned, and a new Substitute to replace Mr Jensen who has resigned.

3.       Spain has appointed a new Substitute to replace Mr Alberto Ruiz who has resigned.

4.       The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the Representative and Substitutes whose names are given below.

5. In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the Committee on Rules of Procedure which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance with Rule 6, paragraph 5, of the Rules of Procedure.

6.       In accordance with Rule 55 a, paragraph 7, of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received the credentials of the new special guest delegations of Belarus, Croatia and Ukraine for the 3rd part of the 44th Ordinary Session of the Assembly, which have been transmitted in due form by the competent authorities.

7.       The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the Special Guests whose names are given below.

8.       In the case of objection or contestation on the grounds of Rule 55 a, paragraph 1, of the Rules of Procedure, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to a joint meeting of the Committees on Relations with European Non-Member Countries and on Rules of Procedure. These committees shall report to the enlarged Bureau at the earliest opportunity, in accordance with Rule 55 a, paragraph 7, of the Rules of Procedure.
