MOTION FOR A RECOMMENDATION

on deleting the word "Consultative"

in the Statute 1

presented by Lord FINSBERG and others

The Assembly considers the time is long overdue to delete all references in the Statute of the Council of Europe to the word "Consultative" when referring to the Assembly, and urges the Committee of Ministers to pass a statutory resolution to this effect at the earliest possible opportunity.
