Doc. 7613

28 June 1996

MOTION FOR A RESOLUTION

presented by Mr BLOETZER and others

This motion has not been discussed in the Assembly and commits only the members who have signed it

1.         The tourist industry has been slower than the manufacturing industry in establishing quality standards for resorts. This holds in particular for mountain resorts, in areas such as customer service, equipment, cleanliness and environment protection.

2.         The Assembly calls for the establishment of a European quality certificate for mountain resorts, in order to raise the awareness of operators to maintain high standards and to assist consumers in their choice of resort.
