Examination of credentials of Representatives, Substitutes and Special Guests

In accordance with Rule 6, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received the credentials of new representatives and substitutes for the 3rd part of the 1997 Ordinary Session of the Assembly, which have been transmitted in due form by the competent authorities of six member states.
Bulgaria has appointed its new delegation, following parliamentary elections.
Croatia has appointed a new representative and a new substitute to replace MM. Mestrovic and Jelenkovic, following parliamentary elections (House of Counties)
The Czech Republic has appointed two new representatives and three new substitutes to replace MM. Frankl, Luk�s, Prokop and Mrs Novesk� and to fill a vacant seat, following parliamentary elections (Upper Chamber).
Hungary has appointed two new representatives to replace MM. E�rsi and Rott who have resigned.
Moldova has appointed Mr Cubreacov, former substitute, to replace Mr Mocanu who has resigned, and a new substitute to replace Mr Cubreacov.
Slovenia has appointed a new representative and a new substitute to replace MM. Skolc and Thaler who have resigned:
The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the representatives and substitutes whose names are given below.
In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the Committee on Rules of Procedure which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance with Rule 6, paragraph 5, of the Rules of Procedure.
In accordance with Rule 55.a, paragraph 7, of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received the credentials for a member of the special guest delegation of Armenia to replace Mr Lazarian who has resigned.
The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the special guest whose name is given below.
In the case of objection or contestation on the grounds of Rule 55 a, paragraph 1, of the Rules of Procedure, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the Committee on Rules of Procedure. This committee shall report to the enlarged Bureau at the earliest opportunity, in accordance with Rule 55 a, paragraph 7, of the Rules of Procedure.
