European Convention on Privacy

Motion for a Resolution

The Assembly,

1. Alarmed at the continued intrusion into personal privacy in member states, contrary to Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, as most tragically demonstrated by the death of Diana, Princess of Wales,

2. Believes that it is urgent to consider the elaboration of a European Convention on Privacy which will among its principles protect the privacy of the legitimate behaviour of individuals from photography without approval and permission.
