Examination of credentials of Representatives and Substitutes
Report
presented by the President of the Assembly
1. In accordance with Rule 6, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received the credentials of new representatives and substitutes for the 3rd part of the 1999 Ordinary Session of the Assembly, which have been transmitted in due form by the competent authorities of six member states.
2. Georgia has appointed five substitutes to fill the vacant seats on its delegation.
3. Hungary has appointed a new substitute to replace Mr Bánk who has resigned.
4. Iceland has appointed its new delegation following parliamentary elections.
5. Ireland has appointed a new representative to fill a vacant seat.
6. The Netherlands have appointed two new substitutes to replace Mrs Karimi and Mr Verhagen who have resigned.
7. Turkey has appointed its new delegation following parliamentary elections.
8. The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the members whose names are given below.
9. In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the Committee on Rules of Procedure which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance with Rule 6, paragraph 5, of the Rules of Procedure.
