The Committee of Ministers took note of the texts adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly during the 2nd part of the 1999 session (26-30 April 1999).

It has brought Recommendations 1402 to 1407 (1999) to the attention of the governments of the member States. It has held an initial examination of Recommendation 1405 in connection with its monitoring of compliance with commitments and forwarded Recommendations 1402 to 1407 to the appropriate committees for opinions. In addition it instructed the Rapporteur Group on Democratic Stability (GR-EDS) to consider Recommendation 1406.

It has taken note of Resolutions 1184 to 1186 (1999) and Orders 550 to 552 (1999).
