REPORT

on the examination of credentials of

Representatives, Substitutes and Special Guests

presented by the President of the Assembly

1.       In accordance with Rule 6, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received the credentials of new representatives and substitutes for the 2nd part of the 1994 Session of the Assembly, which have been transmitted in due form by the competent authorities of four member states.

2.       The Czech Republic has appointed Mr Karas, former substitute, as a representative, and Mr Koucky, former representative, as a substitute.

3.       Germany has appointed one new representative and one new substitute to replace

Mr Menzel and Mrs von Teichman who have resigned.

4.       Ireland has appointed one new representative and two new substitutes to replace Mr Bell, Mr Gregory and Mrs Moynihan-Cronin who have resigned.

5.       The United Kingdom has appointed a new substitute to replace Baroness Lockwood who has resigned.

6.       The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the representatives and substitutes whose names are given below.

7. In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the Committee on Rules of Procedure which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance with Rule 6, paragraph 5, of the Rules of Procedure.

8.       In accordance with Rule 55 a, paragraph 7, of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received the credentials for members of special guest delegation of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2nd part of the 1994 Session of the Assembly.

9.       Russia has appointed a new special guest to replace Mr Murashev who has resigned.

10.       The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the special guests whose names are given below.

11.       In the case of objection or contestation on the grounds of Rule 55 a, paragraph 1, of the Rules of Procedure, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to a joint meeting of the Committees on Relations with European Non-Member Countries and on Rules of Procedure. These committees shall report to the enlarged Bureau at the earliest opportunity, in accordance with Rule 55 a, paragraph 7, of the Rules of Procedure.
