Examination of credentials of Representatives, Substitutes and Special Guests

Supplementary report

presented by the President of the Assembly

1.       Following the examination of credentials of new representatives, substitutes and special guests appointed at the 4^th part of the 1998 session of the Assembly, credentials certified by the competent authorities of four member states have been transmitted to the President of the Assembly for validation by the Standing Committee acting on behalf of the Assembly.

2.       The Czech Republic has appointed its new delegation following parliamentary elections.

3.       France has appointed a new representative and four new substitutes to replace MM. Alloncle, Jeambrun, Le Jeune, Lesein and Vinçon, following senatorial elections. Mr Debarge, former substitute has become a representative.

4.       Italy has appointed two new representatives to replace Mr Giannattasio who has resigned and Mr Bianchi who has been appointed as a substitute to replace Mr Collavini who has resigned.

5.       Sweden has appointed a new subsitute to replace Mrs Wärnersson who has resigned.

6.       The Standing Committee, acting on behalf of the Assembly, is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the credentials of the members whose names are given below.

7.       In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the Committee on Rules of Procedure which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance with Rule 6, paragraph 5, of the Rules of Procedure.
