Reply from the Committee of Ministers

adopted at the 650^th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies (24-25 November 1998)

The Committee of Ministers took note of the texts adopted on 4 November 1998 by the Standing Committee acting on behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly.

It has brought Recommendations 1389-1393 (1998) to the attention of the governments of the member states. The competent Rapporteur Groups have been instructed to prepare draft replies to Recommendations 1389-1391.

Moreover, Recommendation 1390 has been transmitted to the European Commission, the World Health Organisation and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, for information, and to the European Health Committee (CDSP), for examination. Following the wishes of the Assembly, Recommendation 1391 has been forwarded to the Co-ordinating Committee on Remuneration (CCR).

The Committee of Ministers will endeavour to reply to all the recommendations adopted as soon as possible.
