Actions of the Belarus Government against the embassies of foreign countries

This motion has not been discussed in the Assembly and commits only the members who have signed it

Currently the foreign embassies in Minsk, Belarus, are facing the conditions that are impossible to work under. The work disturbance by the Belarus Government not only violates the Vienna Convention and international norms of diplomacy but also reflects the continuation of an undemocratic trend in the development of Belarus. On the other hand such a freezing of diplomatic connections with a lalrge part of the world might lead to a reduction in Belarus sovereignty.

This indicates clearly that the Belarus Government shows no will to act according to the standards of the Council of Europe.
