Reply from the Committee of Ministers

adopted at the 676^th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies (1-2 July 1999)

The Committee of Ministers took note of the texts adopted by the Standing Committee, acting on behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly on 26 May 1999.

It brought Recommendations 1408 – 1410 (1999) to the attention of governments of member States and instructed the Secretariat to prepare draft replies to these Recommendations.

The Committee of Ministers took note of Resolutions 1187 – 1191 (1999) and agreed to bear in mind Resolution 1188 (1999) on possible modifications to and updating of the Charter of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe (CLRAE) when considering proposals for amending the Charter of the Congress.

The Committee of Ministers took note of Opinion No. 213 (1999) on the Draft Civil Law Convention on Corruption and transmitted it to the Multidisciplinary Group on Corruption (GMC).
