Reply from the Committee of Ministers

adopted at the 711^th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies (31 May 2000)

The Committee of Ministers took note of the texts adopted by the Standing Committee, acting on behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly on 17 May 2000.

It has brought Recommendations 1461 to 1465 (2000) to the attention of the governments of the member states. It has entrusted Recommendation 1462 (2000) to its Rapporteur Group on Human Rights for consideration and Recommendations 1464 and 1465 (2000) to the competent committees of experts for information and opinion. The Committee agreed to resume detailed consideration of all Recommendations at future meetings.

Concerning Opinions N° 218 and 219 (2000), it has decided to bear them in mind during its forthcoming budgetary discussions, notably on the budget for the year 2001.

The Committee of Ministers took note of Resolution 1216 (2000).
