Reply from the Committee of Ministers

adopted at the 726^th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies (18 October 2000)

The Committee of Ministers took note of the texts adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly at the fourth part of the 2000 Session (25-29 September 2000).

It brought Recommendations 1471 to 1480 (2000) to the attention of the Governments of member States. The Committee of Ministers entrusted Recommendations 1471 to 1477, 1479 and 1480 (2000) to the competent committee of experts/organs and/or to the rapporteur groups/rapporteurs concerned, for opinion or for consideration. It agreed to communicate Recommendation 1472 (2000) to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe (CLRAE) and to the Steering Committee on Local and Regional Democracy (CDLR), for information.

The Committee of Ministers held a first exchange of views on Recommendation 1478 (2000) and will continue consideration of this text with a view to providing an early reply.

The Committee of Ministers took note of Resolutions 1222 to 1229 (2000) and of Order No. 567 (2000).
