Reply from the Committee of Ministers

adopted at the 730^th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies (22 November 2000)

The Committee of Ministers took note of the texts adopted by the Standing Committee, acting on behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly on 9 November 2000.

It brought Recommendations 1481 to 1488 (2000) to the attention of the Governments of member states. The Committee of Ministers entrusted Recommendations 1481, 1484 to 1486 and 1488 (2000) to the competent committee of experts or to the rapporteur groups concerned, for opinion or consideration. It agreed to communicate Recommendation 1484 (2000) to the Committee of Permanent Correspondents of the EUR-OPA Major Hazards Agreement, for information and invited the Secretary General to communicate Recommendation 1488 (2000) to the Council of Europe Staff Committee, for opinion.

The Committee of Ministers held a first exchange of views on Recommendations 1482 and 1487 (2000) and will continue consideration of these texts with a view to providing a reply within the fixed deadline.

The Committee of Ministers took note of Resolutions 1230 to 1235 (2000).
