Reply from the Committee of Ministers

adopted at the 740^th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies (7 February 2001)

The Committee of Ministers took note of the texts adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly at the first part of the 2001 Session (22-26 January 2001).

It brought Recommendations 1489 to 1491, 1493 to 1499, 1501 and 1502 (2001) to the attention of the Governments of member States. The Committee of Ministers entrusted Recommendations 1489 to 1491, 1493 to 1495, 1501 and 1502 (2001) to the competent committee of experts/organs and/or to the rapporteur groups/rapporteurs concerned, for opinion or for consideration. It agreed to communicate Recommendation 1501 (2001) to the Forum for children and families to be taken into account in the organisation of its activities.

The Committee of Ministers held a first exchange of views on Recommendations 1497 to 1499 (2001) and will continue consideration of these texts with a view to providing an early reply.

The Committee of Ministers decided to resume consideration of the follow-up to be given to Recommendations 1492 and 1500 (2001) at their 742nd meeting (15 February 2001).

The Committee of Ministers took note of Resolutions 1236 to 1242 (2001) and of Orders Nos. 568 and 569 (2001).
