The Committee of Ministers took note of Parliamentary Assembly Recommendation 1519 (2001) on the co-existence of the Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the European Convention on Human Rights. It wishes to inform the Assembly that its advice was followed and that the European Court of Human Rights’ opinion was requested.

The Committee of Ministers will keep the Assembly informed of the outcome of this request.
