Motion for an order

The Assembly,

Having taken cognisance of Addendum I to the Progress Report (Doc. 8502) concerning the ad hoc committee of the Bureau to ensure the presence of the Assembly at the trial of Abdullah Öcalan, and

Having been informed of the decision of the Bureau, taken on 3 September 1999, to dissolve the ad hoc committee,

Instructs its Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights to follow closely whether the appeal trial conforms to the standards for a fair trial laid down in the European Convention of Human Rights.
