Freedom of expression in the media
Motion for an order
presented by Mrs Isohookana-Asunmaa and others

The Assembly is concerned about growing problems of freedom of the media in many countries of Europe.
The Council of Europe has itself developed a number of standards and practices in this area, which is a good reason for a common debate on both general and specific issues.
Therefore the Assembly asks its Committee on Culture, Science and Education to organise such a debate for the June 2002 part-session.
