In the draft resolution, paragraph 11.7, delete the second and third sentences.

Explanatory Note :

Religious education does not constitute a departure from the principle of secularism. The curriculum in Imam-Hatip schools is the same as the one being applied in regular schools, the only difference being the 3 mandatory religious courses which are included in the Imam Hatip curriculum. Imam Hatip schools have educated and continue to educate hundreds of thousands of people who form an integral part of Turkish society
