Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights
1. Report of the Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights
The Committee held a meeting in Strasbourg on 17 April 2016, with Mr Boriss Cilevičs (Latvia, SOC), in the Chair.
2. Introduction
In accordance with previous practice and as specified in Parliamentary
Assembly Resolution
2002 (2014), the Committee on the
Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights considered
the list of candidates for the post of judge to the Court in respect
of Slovenia.
A list of members of the Committee
who participated in the meeting can be found in Appendix 2.
3. Conclusion of the Committee on the list of candidates submitted by Slovenia, Contracting State to the European Convention on Human Rights
The Committee recommends, by a large majority, the candidature of Mr Marko BOŠNJAK as the most qualified candidate.
