Examination of credentials of representatives and substitutes

1. In accordance with Rule 6, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the Rules of Procedure, the President of the Assembly has received credentials of representatives and substitutes for the second part of the 2016 Ordinary Session of the Assembly, which have been transmitted in due form by the competent authorities of member States.
2. The Assembly is called upon to take a decision on the ratification of the credentials of the representatives and substitutes whose names are given below.
3. Bulgaria has appointed a new substitute following the resignation of Mr Kancho Filipov.
4. Denmark has appointed a new substitute following the resignation of Mr Morten Løkkegaard.
5. Iceland has appointed a new representative, and a representative has become a substitute, following the resignation of Mr Brynjar Níelsson.
6. The Republic of Moldova has appointed a new representative and two new substitutes to fill vacant seats. A representative has become a substitute and a substitute has become a representative.
7. The Netherlands have appointed two new substitutes following the resignation of Mr Malik Azmani and to fill a vacant seat.
8. Romania has appointed a new substitute following the resignation of Mr Theodor-Cătălin Nicolescu.
9. Spain has appointed seven new representatives and eleven new substitutes, following the resignations of Mr Pedro Azpiazu, Mr José Miguel Camacho, Mr José María Chiquillo, Mr Ramón Moreno Bustos and Mr Gabino Puche. A representative has become a substitute and a substitute has become a representative.
10. Sweden has appointed a new substitute, and a substitute has become a representative, following the resignation of Ms Julia Kronlid.
11. Turkey has appointed one new representative following the resignation of Mr Utku Çakirözer, and four new substitutes to fill vacant seats.
12. In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested credentials shall be referred without debate to the appropriate committee, which shall report back to the Assembly in accordance with Rules 7 and 8 of the Rules of Procedure.
