In the draft resolution, paragraph 3, replace the words: "While there are at last signs of a recovery, most notably in the United States and in Japan, growth prospects remain weak in most OECD countries" with the following words:

"There are at last signs of a recovery, most notably in North America, Japan and the United Kingdom, while the euro area as a whole is no longer in recession. A sustainable recovery is however not yet firmly established".

Explanatory note

This amendment is consistent with the latest OECD Interim Economic Assessment, published on 3 September 2013.
