In the draft resolution, paragraph 1, fourth sentence, replace the words "an increase in arrivals from the nearby Turkish coast" with the following words:

"the inefficiencies in Greece's asylum policy and an increase in arrivals from the countries that have a coast at the Eastern Mediterranean".

Explanatory Note :

This increase is not only due to irregular migrant arrivals from Turkey, but also from countries like Lebanon. In addition, the victimization of asylum seekers in Greece and the overcrowding in the reception and identification centres stem from the inefficient attitude of Greece to assess asylum applications.
