Origin - Referred to the
Committee on the Honouring of Obligations and Commitments by Member
States of the Council of Europe (Monitoring Committee), for report,
and the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Immunities and Institutional
Affairs, for opinion: Reference No. 3488 (29th Sitting, 29 September
2008). 2008 - Fourth part-session
This motion has not been discussed in the Assembly and commits only those who have signed it.Seriously concerned about the conflict opposing two member
states of the Council of Europe in the South Caucasus, we, the undersigned,
demand the Assembly to reconsider – on the basis of Rule 9.1.a of the Rules of Procedure of the
Assembly – the ratified credentials of the Russian delegation on
the grounds of serious violations of the basic principles of the
Council of Europe mentioned in the Preamble to the Statute.
